Booooooooooooooooooooooooored.

You’re not here and I am BORED (each capitalized letter is worth five o’s, because I say so) and my head is full of CoD. So I’m going to ramble at Tumblr for a while.

I could write. Maybe I will get THAT BORED. Or maybe I’ll get distracted by reading logs. Goddamn did you put up an awesome amount of logs.

Anyway. Character by character…

Emma:

Huh. No real comment here. I guess I’m worried that I’m not showing her parenting side enough. I’ve had vague ideas, mostly rooted in how insecure she is. Oh, and I keep meaning to fill in her time with the Ak’abians, ‘cause that’s fucking with her head too. And have her in contact with Evelyn, ‘cause Evelyn was the one keeping an eye on Los Angeles for Ryan, and maybe make Evelyn one of the agents of the Black King.

I guess I was wrong about the no comment thing.

Evelyn:

I keep meaning to write fic of what her life is like offscreen, when she’s dealing in the demon world. Stuff that happens, adventures she has, etc. But that would be… writing. Also, I have a much more important thing to write for her. I’m thinking a series of ficlets, following the course of a handful of relationships she’s had that could have led to marriage, then in the last installment show how each of them failed except one, which ended with a wedding.

I’d also like to get her interacting with people outside the Quasi-Siblings Trio (I am having to resist the temptation to go over to Hero Machine and make them all superhero costumes, ‘cause dude). Denna’s been pinging me ever since I changed Sim!Evelyn’s Lifetime Wish.

As you’ve probably noticed, picking out Lifetime Wishes for Sim versions of our characters is HARD. Adopting a unicorn might be something Evelyn wants (more on that in a bit), but it’s not something so important that she’ll dedicate her life to achieving it.

So I scrolled through the Wishes, thinking about what she wants. Perfect garden? Sure, it’d be cool. Live in the lap of luxury? It certainly is nice. But what she really wants is something about her, a quality that can’t be taken away. She wants to walk through the demon world without fear. She wants to be able to kick the ass of everything and everyone in her way.

That made me think of Denna wanting to train Lilia. And Denna hasn’t been onscreen much lately, and I’ve missed her. And just in the process of typing these few paragraphs, I’ve thought of a handful of circumstances that could Denna and Evelyn in a mentor/student thing (only one involves an apocalypse!).

Ahem. As for the unicorn… I really like the idea one day Evelyn shows up at the Quasi-Siblings’ Fortress Of Awesomitude with a unicorn and says “It followed me home. Can I keep it?”

On the other hand, I know that Evelyn’s a bit Mary Sueish and I’ve been trying to counteract it. A unicorn just following her home one day is a little too much for my taste. So what I’m thinking is that she decides she wants a unicorn, learns how to care for them, puts a lot of effort into finding a unicorn and courting her attention and loyalty, then brings Ignatia to the Quasi-Siblings’ Fortress Of Awesomeitude and says “It followed me home. Can I keep it?”

I imagine the others would find out the truth eventually.

Isaac:

I feel like I should be doing more with him. Make him more of an actual character, not just an offscreen reference.

I just don’t know what.

Reynaldo:

You should know that I am strongly tempted to build a wizard’s tower right in the middle of the Quasi-Siblings’ Fortress Of Awesomeitude. Like, intersecting with the first and second floors, and going up.

Because it looks cool in my head, that’s why!

Anyway…

I’ve been thinking about the golem and the heartstring puppet he’s making. And the tricky thing there is, when should they be complete? There’s the speed of plot, naturally, but I can’t think of any particular plots that would need a golem or an embodied Isaac, other than “I want an Isaac and a golem and a PONY!”

…oh, yeah, this applies to how fast Evelyn can get her unicorn, too.

Maybe a year for the puppet (cut down to half a year once he’s learned the process, in case he wants to make others), a month for the golem and a month for the unicorn? Beginning with the first timelined mention of the character’s intent to get their shiny? (I’ll write a ficlet for Evelyn. LIKE I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH WRITING TO DO FOR HER ALREADY.)

Also, I’ve been wondering what the deal with Rey and Jabe is. They feel distant in my head, because we haven’t been sceneing them much (it’s a word because I say it is), but what’s been going on offscreen? Maybe they’ve been meaning to hang out, but have been too busy? (Lapse stuff, babies, teenager…)

I’ve been wondering if Jabe’s involved with the project to figure out and reproduce the heartstring clone magic. And what happened to the idea of studying the Deeper Well weapons.

Ryan:

Erm. He’s around, he does stuff? And he’s getting married soon!

And there’s that orgasm overload idea I had for Emma inflicting on him when they marry. And the whole thing where Shelly relaxed their talking-about-Ryan-and-sex boundaries…

Hrm. I’m getting ideas.

Talia:

I want to do stuff with her. I just don’t know what. I should get back to work on her backstory. That whole Sims thing that got interrupted when I had to reinstall my game and when Pets came out and distracted me with its distractingness.

YOU KNOW WHAT I’M GOING TO DO UNTIL YOU COME ONLINE? I’M GOING TO PLAY A SELF-INSERT WHO WRITES A BEST-SELLING NOVEL EVERY DAY AND HAS TONS OF CATS AND POODLES.

I have a vague memory of you telling me once that K had wanted to give Belle a ridiculous amount of titles, and you said she only could if she actually came up with the titles.

I could totally do that.

I’ve got this thought in my head: She Of A Hundred Faces And A Thousand Names. Please either talk me into this or out of it.
